Under the direction of Chuck Taft, the group studies and performs a wide range of music genres, including classical, popular, show tunes, and other favorites. The Singers hold weekly rehearsals on the UNCA campus in the Mannheimer Room of the Reuter Center (OLLI), Monday evenings from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m.
The Reuter Center Singers, a singing organization with over two decades of experience, have always been characterized by their strong sense of community and collaboration. Their musical repertoire is diverse, spanning from the works of Bach to the Beatles and beyond. From their inaugural season, they have maintained an unbroken tradition of participating in local events and ceremonies as a way to connect with their communities. Their music fosters unity and the act of singing offers numerous health benefits.
